I noticed on the Estes website last week that the Hi-Flier XL kit was now available for sale. I checked my usual mail-order sources but they didn't have it listed yet, sooo...

I ordered it direct from Estes. Free shipping, too. It's been a looong time since I've ordered from Estes directly. :D

The model arrived today. The Hi-Flier XL is a good sized model. BT-60 body tube, 31" tall. Big pieces of balsa sheet for each laser-cut fin.

It will look good next to my Vagabond.

Bob,

I have a ton of flights on mine (I did the check build for Estes) and its a SUPER PERFORMER!.. Your going to love it..

It will handle ANY 24mm engine you can toss at it.

Check out the videos I have of it at my you tube site

I just flew it to over 2000' on an F35 a week or so ago!

On a E-9 its wonderfull and on the new E12 ought to be fantastic!

Did you have to modify the engine hook to get the F35 in?
