This coming Saturday looks to be a cold one, hopefully the wind will at least cooperate. Range will be on the minimal side, with rail, 1/4", 3/16", and 1/8" rods set up. Any special needs will need to brought by the flyer. We will get set up around nine, range opens at ten. Barring any unforseen mechanical issues, Tim will be there. Bundle up and come on out!

I hope to be there at nine to help, but I am not sure how long I can stay.

No worries, set up and tear down will be quick with the small range.

Posts on the mailing list would indicate in the positive.

Yes I talked to Tim today he is coming up to Bong. Bring your money, it may be a day for shopping not flying.

Even though it was cold, real cold, the thrill of the launch was enough to block out the cold. Did I mention it was cold. Thanks to Chad and Roy and the rest of the Woosh Guys for giving me the do's and don'ts of reloads. Thanks to the Wildman for bringing all my goodies and all of the epoxy tips. Very special thanks to my truck heater for helping me thaw out. Was I the only one who noticed it was cold ? :chuckle:

You know it's cold when you have to pour Everclear into your beer to keep the beer from freezing! After a couple of those, you don't need a designated driver--you need a designated carrier! :D

Everclear on the beer, wish I'd known that the last time I went ice fishing! Great idea. :D The wind was freezing fingers faster than the brain could register that the fingers were frozen - all in all, a good time.

Ice fishing, yes. That's what I was doing when I discovered the "mixture": ice fishing in the U.P.

flew my snitch and pond flyer on D10-3w's, nice motor...but if you're using the apogee labeled motors you have to peel the apogee label off to fit them into the mount. also flew my upscale goblin on a G53-5(first use of my delay tool :)), ah well some day everything will cooperate and we'll get a video of it :).

Glad you made it out Jeff. Considering the conditions of the day, I think we had a good showing with a good number of flights. Tim just needs to put a window or two in the "heroin den" so I don't miss so many of them!

and I got a chance to test my home made copperhead clip, it worked for me...I know chad used it at least once :).

A few years ago we had a launch colder than that plus a foot of new snow on the ground.
That dogone Tim talked me into recovering his Jumanji if he flew it on a "K" motor.
I ended up walking into the cow pasture to get it back. Thankfully it did have a tracker in it so it was pretty much straight in and out.
Looks like you guys had some fun :chuckle:
