Received my 2012 Estes catalog today[/IMG]Beautiful! That cover has the same "feel" as the 1974 Estes catalog to me, with its "deep indigo sky" background. That checkerboard 'chute and the V-2 sure take me back, yet the catalog is forward-looking because the rockets depicted cover the main model rocket "genres" of today--Science Fiction, Scale, Sport, and RTF. Well done, John Boren!

I can only take credit for the V2 and Asteroid Hunter. The rest goes to Marketing and Visual Graphics.

I just received a copy of the Estes 2012 catalog.

Now I just have to wait for all these new products to become available. ;)

Quite a few are now available including four of the Pro Seires models. It may take a few more days for them to show up in your local stores but they are available on the Estes Web Site.

I ordered a Ventris from the Estes website yesterday (Monday).

My order is still 'processing'. :(

Thanks John. Great Job and keep the little gray cells firing to bring us more exciting rockets.

NOT!There may (still) be indigenous Indian model rockets--in a "Space India" issue from the late 1980s (it's ISRO's "in-house" magazine), there was a photograph and a brief mention of primary school students launching model rockets (at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre [VSSC] if memory serves), and the rocket and launcher definitely looked Indian in origin--unpainted, simple in design, but rugged. Maybe by now there are Indian-made scale kits of the Rohini sounding rockets (the RH-200, RH-300 Mk II, RH-560, etc.) and the SLV-3, ASLV, PSLV, and GSLV satellite launch vehicles?
