The V2 popped up for sale at estes.com the other day, and mine just showed up on my doorstep.
Kit looks nice, its the same as the #1904 kit, just nicer laser cut balsa.

Here are a few quick pictures....enjoy

It looks like they left off the Pinup.

Must get one of these to replace my old one that the motor tube seemed to shrink on. Flew once, no problems. Now I can't get an engine into the motor tube.

Excellent! I'm glad to see the 1:24 scale V2 has returned, but I wonder what the reason is for the stylized curvature on the inside plane of the fins.

I've added the decal to my web site

Does anyone want the" Pinup", "Operation Sandy" round and the" Operation Pushover"?

The decal set would include all three rounds.

If you offer them up in 1:24 scale, I'll order them, Gordie.

I already did! ;)

The "Pinup" only round is in the Estes section matching the new Estes kit

The Pushover, Pinup, Operation Sandy set is in the scale section.

But...if you get the three round decal set you will have to buy 3 kits!

Ahhh man. I just bought a big daddy in hopes to bash it to a V2.

Thanks, just added it to my backorder, waitin on the E12's. They show in stock now but I guess they expect them early next week. The V2 will go pretty freakin' good on one of those.

Good idea....so I now have an order for both a V2 and some E12s (and two F50s for my Ventris) in.

The 1:24 Estes V2 (I forget the kit # right now) flies GREAT on the old Estes E9. Just enough ooommph to get it into the air without screaming off the pad, and a nice long burn. As close as you're gonna get to a scale flight. I used to love those launches. Is the E9 still going to be in production now that they've come out with the E12?
