Everyone,

I've been working hard on this project for several months (since February).

The ALTDuino is a small homemade dual deploy altimeter.

I've documented the project here: www.ALTDuino.de (http://www.ALTDuino.de)

Comments on the website are welcomed.

You'll get to see it at Orangeburg in my Mongoose that I have to build on Friday before I drive down to the site on Saturday :D

I am dreadfully sorry you have to make another...

Very nice work on the altimeter! You could market it as a kit that we could solder together like old school !

Thanks Allen!

I haven't given up on the Mongoose in Columbia just yet ;) We need to make another visit :)

Very impressive indeed.

This is my first exposure to the Sparkfun Pro Mini. I have been dabbling with the AVR using this: http://www.xgamestation.com/view_product.php?id=46 but it is too big to be practical as flight hardware.

Thanks Bill.

Yes, it's a bit unpractical for model rocketry.

I've now incorporated a "Compare" function into the UI software. It is now possible to compare 2 flight profiles.

Here a demonstration of my altimeter from last weeks event at Freedom Launch in Orangeburg SC:

I built a rocket for my altimeter:

It was one of those builds that was a pain but it turned out nice nonetheless.
