Had five first flights yesterday in my backyard.

Semroc SLS Aero Dart on D12-5....perfect straight up flight to about 500', good recovery.
Rocketpad Astron Ranger Clone on 3xB6-4 cluster to about 1000', straight up, with good rec.
Quest Terrier-Orion on a B6-4, straight up to about 500', good recovery.
Original Estes Hyperion on a B6-4, Straight up to about 400', good recovery.
Rocketpad Astron Cobra clone on 3xA8-3 cluster to about 600', good recovery.

Also flew several other rockets:
Rocketpad SPEV clone on C6-5 to about 700', good recovery.
Estes 24mm FatBoy on E9-6 to about 1000', good recovery.
Rebuilt 1972 Enerjet AeroDart clone on Aerotech RMS24 E28-4T to about 1200', good rec.
Semroc SLS Explorer on Aerotech RMS24 D15-4T to about 800', good rec.
2 flights on Original Estes Sprint one on original Centuri B14-7, one on Estes B8-7, good rec.

None of the flights landed more than 150' out of my backyard into the 400 acre harvested soybean field behind my house.

Winds were VERY light, below 5mph, which is very rare for this time of year in Michigan.

I was going to fly my Estes Saturn V on an RMS24 F24-4W, but it was getting too dark.
The F24-4W is a GREAT motor for the Saturn V...it gets it up to a little shy of 500' or so, which gives a MUCH better flight than the wimpy single D12-5 to 100' or 3xC5-3/C6-3 cluster to about 175'.

All in all it was a great hour and a half of flying with my wife.

Gee, wish my backyard was that accomodating...... :(

I fly mine on a F20-4. Gets to about 400'. A dusk launch would have looked great. Love seeing the flames as it ascends. :)

Sounds like a great time had by all. Hopefully, the weather will be nice enough this coming weekend for me to get out and launch a few before the holiday rush....

Sounds like fun.

My wife isn't interested in rockets, although she attended a few launches as 'moral support' .... doesn;t appear she'll go to any more, since she left ( to her dad's ) three weeks ago, still noword. :(

Took the computer, my emails, plans, scans, all my rocket pictures, etc... so if I owe anyone anything, let me know.

obviously, new computer is up and running (old P3, but seems ok for what I need, lol ) , so will get caught up as I can, rebuilt the plans, redraw decals that were on there, etc...

thoughts and prayers coveted, thanks .
