I finished gluing these two rockets up in December, but only now is it getting warm enough to go out and spray clear coat. Now they're done.

First is a Fliskits Caution! Rocket Launch in Progress! with a custom decoration job featuring the Syracuse Rocket Club logo. Since the original name isn't long enough, I call this Caution! SRC Rocket Launch in Progress!

The other is Bob Harrington's design of a Mini Satellite Interceptor:

They'll probably fly next month at the club launch.

I'm glad to see that someone is building those downscales.

Thanks! The Mini Satellite Interceptor is a little rough in spots, like where I mistakenly glued the launch lug on top of the wing and had to cut it off to move it... Nose cone is less than perfect too -- tried and failed to roll it from cardstock, finally ended up making it from bond paper glued over a truncated cardstock cone and reinforced with CA. Next one will be better, right?

I finally was able to fly these today. The Caution! went up three times, and the first two times (on B6-4) went well. Third time (B4-4) not so well. I don't know why the nose cone didn't come out, but the result was not pretty.

I didn't get a picture of the Mini Satellite Interceptor flight, but it was great on a 1/2A3-2T.

Post mortem examination of the Caution suggests that I might possibly have forgotten the wadding.
