I was wondering if anyone out there has an Estes Maxi Brute V2 that they have flown in the stock configuration, and can tell me where it balances with the motor in it. I've added so much weight to the rear end on my 29mm motor conversion, so I know I will need to add a TON of weight to the nose to get it to balance but I need to know where this balance point is.

Thanks in advance.

NSL will be my Maxi V-2s's first launch after re-build, but I balanced it where all the other V-2s I've ever built balance: at the tail cone-body tube joint.

I am building an old kit to fly at the V2 mass launch at NSL.

Nice. I have one of the original and 2 of the reissues. I currently don't have one flying in my fleet. The last one I built was 29mm. I remember I sandwiched some carbon fiber between the fin halfs. Wish I could remember what happened to it. May have gave it away , only room for so many rockets. I get as much if not more joy out of building than flying.

Looking forward to seeing Maxi V-2 flights of yours and John's. I'll be flying a BT--80 model. I've got a Maxi in storage that I hope to start in the next year.
