Now that I have finished my M11 (American Alliance Rocketry), I am working on a Estes Prowler. The kit is a 3 end to end body tube with slim fins. I would like to use this rocket as a test subject, since I finally mastered the CA and paper technique for strengthening the fins.
I would like to install a avionics bay (altimeter, and maybe a temperature sensor). To keep the over all weight down, I thought of using plastic althread instead of the normal steel/aluminum ones that I see. I have already change the rear end over to accept 24mm aerotech motors.
Has anyone ever used plastic/type 6.6a polymide althread??? I have already found a couple of supply sources.
