NARCON 2008 includes Seminars, Workshops, Guest Speakers, Door Prizes, Vendors, Exhibits, and (if weather permits) a Sport Launch. Scheduled to appear as Special Guest Speakers are Vern and Gleda Estes! NARCON 2008 kicks off the celebration of 50 years of the NAR. It is hosted by MASA (Minnesota Amateur Spacemodeler Association – NAR Section 576) from the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area, and co-hosted by TSM (Tripoli Southern Minnesota – TRA #112). Registration is now open! Early registration - before February 15 - will save you money. You may register either online or via regular mail. Be sure to order your NARCON 2008 t-shirt or sweatshirt too! Those orders must be in by February 10.
This year, we also have a direct link from the web site so that you can make your hotel reservations online. In five minutes time, you could be registered, order a t-shirt, and have your hotel room reserved.

Also, we are looking for more people willing to be presenters at NARCON. If you would be interested in giving a seminar or workshop, or leading a forum or discussion, please send me an email at estenson@mn-rocketry.net

NO extra sweatshirts will be made beyond those that are pre-ordered. If you'd like a sweatshirt, you MUST pre-order it by the 10th! A very limited quantity of t-shirts may be made for walk-up sales at NARCON. However, I highly recommend that, if you want one, you pre-order it!

Just a reminder that tomorrow, February 15, is the last day to register for NARCON at the lowest rate. On Saturday, attendee registration goes up from $35 to $40. Pre-registration will close entirely on March 5. If you don't pre-register at all, registration at the door will cost you $45.

Last year several NARCON attendees got together for dinner on Friday night at Victoria's Italian Ristorante. I would like to get a dining group together again this year for the Friday dinner break from 5:30 - 7:30.

Victoria's is conveniently located in the same building as the convention, just up the stairs from the Vendor room. Portions are plentiful, with plenty of options for those who eat meatless, vegetarian, or gluten-free.

Last year I received RSVPs from 8 people so I booked a table for 12. We ended up with 19 people and accidentally took over some other party's reserved table. I am hoping to get a more accurate count this year.
