Okay guys.....

So much talk about motors. I've had these blue tube motors sitting around forever. I'm never going to use them and I'm not really a collector so I guess it's time to let them go to a good home. Opened tubes for $5 plus shipping. Sealed tubes for $10 plus shipping. Best I can tell, each tube comes with the instruction sheets and that strip of nichrome wire that we used to have to cut into thirds for the motors. Each tube includes three motors unless I state otherwise. I don't know how these have been stored before I got them so I assume no responsibility for catos if you decide to fly them.

Here's what I've got.......

1/4 A3-2 (opened) Date code 6-18-71, 6-15-71, and 11-19-70
1/4 A3-2S (opened) Date code 2-19-70 (with spacer)
1/4 A3-2S (opened) Date code 6-4-70 (with spacer)
1/4 A3-4 (sealed)
1/4 A3-4 (opened) Date code 6-9-70
1/4 A3-4 (opened) Date code 6-9-70 (no instructions or nichrome)
1/4 A3-4 (opened) Date code 1-20-70
1/4 A3-4 (opened) Date code 6-9-70 and 4-28-70 (missing one end cap)
1/4 A3-4 (opened) Date code 4-28-70
1/4 A3-4 (opened) Date code 6-9-70
1/4 A3-4S (opened) Date code 6-10-70 (no spacer tube)
1/4 A3-4S (opened) Date code 6-10-70 (with spacer)
1/4 A3-4S (opened) Date code 7-4-69, 8-7-69, and 1-7-69 (with spacer)
1/2 A6-2S (opened) Date code 11-11-70 (with spacer)
1/2 A6-0 (opened) Date code 1-14-70
1/2 A6-2 (opened) Date code 8-31-70

Just PM me if you are interested. I'll go down to the Post Office tomorrow to get some idea of the cost to ship.

Oh yea.....that's right. I forget that one since it seems to be the only Federal Holiday that I don't get off (well Columbus Day, but that's because we traded it to have 2 days off for Thanksgiving.)

Don;

Are you selling these as one big lot or piecemeal? I'd love a few of these, and we can save the shipping if you want to bring them to me at the Launch Crue Regional! :D

Do the opened tubes have both end caps?

Only two of them don't have both end caps. See list. It's annotated.

I knew Fred would be chiming in here once again trying to be the motor shipping police.
Thankfully this site does not have the restricive rules of that OTHER rocket forum or the listing would already be pulled.

I seem to recall one of the moderators in a previous post mentioning the famous "Nike" slogan when referring to motor shipping....I always got a laugh out of that post. ;)

You mean you're giving them to me? Thanks! :D :D :D

BTW, such nice sunshine yesterday and today....but those 30 mph wind gusts and 50 degree temps are making it impossible to fly or paint.

Rats, this will teach me to skip a day at YORF, I would've loved a tube of the S motors for flying in my Firefly.

No worries. :) Shorties were my priority. I've been cutting down the full length 1/2A6-0 motors I have to make shorties, and am down to just a few of those.

I've found a few more SEALED blue tube motors. Same price as the others. For those of you who missed out, here's a second chance. $10 each plus shipping. Shipping is really freaky. I can send some tubes to one address for $3.17, and send the same number to a different address and it be only $2.16 (yes, exactly the same packaging). Go figure. Anyway, if you are interested, PM me with at least a zip code and I'll get you the shipping info.

Here's what I got.....

1/4A3-4S
1/4A3-2S
A5-?

If I remember correctly, Estes had the A5-4's. I used them a lot on my Astron Mark; the
long burn (at least, long for an A engine) and the four second delay always gave the Astron
Mark a nice, decent, long high flight. Wish Estes still had those (and the B4-6, which I can
still use today)....

The motors Don posted above ARE still available. I leapt before I looked. :o Here's your chance to own some rare shorties and A5's.

If you missed them, I'm sorry. I really don't think I have any more left. If I come across more as I go through my boxes, I'll post. Thanks to all who showed an interest and even more thanks to those who made a purchase.

Terry,

I don't have a caliper but what I've measured is 9" length, OD = 1", ID = 7/8", WT = 1/16"
