Dont know if anybody is interested in them or not but, I was trying to find some of the Quest micro maxx rocket sets. Had no luck at local shops or ebay. Then I went to their website and found that they have a bunch of them on super low clearance sales.

I bought the little Joe kit which had retail of 39.99 for 10.00 and the twin rocket set for 6.00.
They both have the launchers, 12 motor and igintors and the vector twin set even came with an additional 6 rockets( Satrun V, space shuttle, SR-71, tomahawk and a couple of others).
Fun little kits to use with the grandkids and pretty cheap.

BTW they supposedly fixed the problem with the motors and ignitors.

My favorite Micromax kits are at Fliskits (http://www.fliskits.com) .

These are true kits of balsa and tubes. Fliskits also sales motors.

another MMX vendor is Leading Edge Rocketry (http://leadingedgerocketry.com/catalog/microclassics.html)

Just went to the quest website and it appears that the twin kit with the extras rockets are gone but the are still listing the little Joe for 10.00. http://www.questaerospace.com/index.asp?FSCat=4&url=IND&iFromFeatured=1

What did they charge for that case of motors?

Again I am left asking why Quest can't/won't ship models outside the US. I know about shipping motors, but this is about shipping kits.

The postal rates to ship International are outrageous, I have sent packages to many countries, and the loweest Priority International rate was around $18 plus, USD, and that was for a light package. If you were to place a large order, by the time you added the shipping, just kits, it would be more than the kits are worth,

What you need to do is to encourage your local hobby retailer to stock kits, they have to get their merchandise from a supplier anyway.

FYI And the USA postal rates had increased again on May 12th.

We are all too aware of the incredible postage prices from the US, but it is still cheaper to buy kits from e.g., Uncle Mikes, and have them sent to Australia than it is to buy at the local hobby store. For example, an Estes Scissor Wing Transport is $50 AUD ($48 US) here. I can buy that kit for $16 US from Discount Rocketry. Postage would have to be $33 US before it was cheaper to buy that kit locally.

The problem is Quest won't ship to us, and that means we miss out on things like the limited edition Nike Smoke. (I didn't, I got a friend to buy me one!)

As for encouraging local stores to stock kits, Suburban Rocketry in Sydney get the vast bulk of my funds simply because of keen pricing and good customer service. However, Quest kits are imported by Dawn Trading in Queensland, who have neither of the above listed qualities.

'nuff said.

Why the HAZMAT FEE for six micro motors with the SR-71?

That was three of their 24 motor offers. The whole order ended up being only $75 with shipping.
The motors were $36 by themselves.
