Here are a few frames captured from the little Aiptek camera. Since the wind was so heavy, its ascent was at about a 45 degree angle, so the camera wasn't pointed at the ground or horizon very long. I did pull 12 images that were decent. Some of these could use some rotating and cropping, but I'm going to leave them as is. The first set in this post are under boost/coast. The ones in the second post are under canopy, so they are distorted by rapid camera movement. Don is a bit distorted in this first photo because the rocket is whipping back and forth on the launch pad.

Whoa!! I'll bet the astronaut had trouble finding his legs after getting out of that one. :D

Looks like a very nice launch site.

Out of curiousity, what did the camera rocket look like?

I'll be posting some photos of the rockets soon. It started life as a Stormcaster modified for camera boosting, but I hung the lower half in a tree on the camera's second or third launch. I built a new lower half using a twin 18mm mount and some Screamin Mimi fins left over from using the nosecone and body on another project. It's been flying naked, but I finally painted it with fluorescent paints this week before taking it down to Memphis.
