For those of you who have always wanted a nice Estes #651 Rocketry Catalog for your collection or to use as a reference but are unwilling to pay the high prices that they go for on Ebay, please take a look in at the YORF auctions (link at the top of this page). I have a few nice ones for sale at just $15 each (I know I can do better than that on Ebay, but I wanted to try the YORF auctions for a change, and I also want to make sure that members here have an opportunity to get one of these at a fair price). These are not perfect mint copies, but they are very nice. Actually, they were put away long ago in mint condition, but events conspired since then to reduce their grade (collector appeal), such as:

1) small amount of moisture exposure which wicked in at the edge to stain some pages
2) bit of tape on the cover
3) bit of paper loss on cover where tape in 2) was removed

The catalogs have one or two of the above condition problems, and I have illustrated these with four representative photos in the auctions. Please 'large size' the photos I have provided to get a good look at these condition issues. If you want to purchase one of these and there is a flaw that you just can't live with, let me know ahead of time and I'll do my best to pair you up with a catalog that will meet your needs.

These catalogs originally came with a twice folded copy of Estes Model Rocket News and a 'NEW PRODUCTS' insert (which are quite scarce), and I have a few of each. If you are a collector and want one of each of these with your catalog, please add $5 (a bargain). Shipping in a new bubblewrap mailer will be $4.

I have the above in very limited supply, so it's first come, first served. Payment by Paypal, MO or personal check. Merry Christmas to all.................

Well, I've had a problem posting the auction, so I will have to contact the auction administrator to figure out what's wrong. In the meantime, if you feel strongly that you want one of these catalogs, please PM me and I will hold your name in priority sequence.

Joe,

What kind of problem are you having? The auction site and the forum are not connected. They have two separate logins. You may need to register and create an account there. If you already have an account there but forgot the password just go into Member Services on the auction site and you'll see a link to have the password sent to you.

I'm leaving to go to our place up north now. I'm taking a laptop, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to find WiFi access up there to login again till I'm back Sunday night.

Scott:

Don't know whether you can read this up at your cottage, but the probable problem is that YORF and the Auction Forum have separate logins. I'll try creating an identity and password over there and see if that works.

Scott, I have resolved the auction issue and have a catalog listed at this time (the first one has already sold!).

I have just two of these left. I will offer them in YORF Auctions for a couple of days, after which time they go to (you know where). These are really nice catalogs, and well worth my asking price of just $15 plus shipping. If you have ever wanted one of these be sure to check out the YORF auctions right away!
