Has anyone tried to access this recently. I needed to print out one page and here at work (shhhh...) it's stating that it can't find the site anymore. Is this just my work or are others having issues accessing it???.

Many of the "New" plans have broken links at the new site. If you click on New, none of the Estes plans work till you get down to the Spin Fin.

Is this just my work or are others having issues accessing it???.I'm not sure what's going on, but this correlates with some other issues. For example, DARS is moving to a new host, away from the current and long-time host and club member. And it appears that JimZ has moved as well. http://www.dars.org/jimz/ now redirects you to the new url, http://www.spacemodeling.org/JimZ/index.htm .

It's not a big deal that it's moved, but it's surprising in this day and age of instant communications and web forums, that there was apparently no announcement at all.

Several of my JimZ links are broken, but the top level one does work (via the redirect), so some effort was made to make the change transparent, but lots of folks have been tripped up by it nonetheless.

<doomsday voice> This will forever change rocketry as we know it. </doomsday voice> http://forums.rocketshoppe.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Busticated, Ruinated, Mutilated, Mangleated....they are ALL good'ns

Steal away.

Much funnier way to describe something as "non-functional".

Then there's always: "the site is having issues."

If I have to hear the term "having issues" again, I'm going to vomit.

Since I have unlimited space and bandwidth, I could host a mirror if someone else wants to "load and administer" it.

Pretty amazing how we take that free internet thng for granted isn't it? The pages do serve quite a but faster now so I am guessing someone got bigger bandwidth or a faster hamster.

im looking to build a 1/2 half scale and later a 3/4 scale NIKE AJAX, but I cant find detailed plans anywhere!!... can anyone help lead me in the right direction?, thanks

Can you clarify something for us?

Are you looking for 1/2 scale and 3/4 scale plans for the real thing?

Or 1/2 scale and 3/4 scale plans for the Estes model?

I mean the real Nike Ajax is a bit over 32 feet long!

That's like 16 feet and 24 feet long.

JimZ's site is for Estes models. Peter Alway's Rockets of the World is a great place to get scale data for many rockets and missiles. I'm not completely sure, but I do believe the Nike Ajax is in there.

Rockets of the World does not have any military missiles in it; however, it does have sounding rockets, satellite and space launchers derived from military hardware.

Peter Alway DID publish data on the Nike Ajax in his spiral-bound volume "14 US Missiles of the Cold War." Or was it "12 Missiles...." Regardless, the Nike Ajax is in there. I have it at home!
