I first saw this at WalMart, with a retil of $50.00, if you look at it on the Banzai site, it's going for $59.99.

It looks somewhat like the Dude.

Neat, Ken.
I remember shooting those little plastic water rockets in the yard in the Summer. It was a lot of fun, and it was a great way to cool off an afternoon's heat. That hose in the yard got quite a workout!
However, this Banzai rocket would not last long with all the Pyrocanthas (sp?) we had in the front of the yard; lots of long needle-like thorns that seemed to eat every ball we ever had!

Hello Allen

I remember the small hand held Parks Plastic water rockets, they even had a two stage model. I think you can still find them if you look. I don't remember anything as large as the Banzai rocket though.

I played with a bunch of those as a kid. Also had the 2-stage version.

As a "joke" present, my sister got me one of those water rockets this past Christmas. She also got me a Gumby. :D

That reminds me of Dan Coon's water rockets down at Huntsville. He had nine 2 liter bottles, helicopter gyros and servos to vector thrust for stability, and had a Polaroid camera mounted in order to shoot instant pics for students to see. I believe his job took him to Colorado or somewhere out west. It's been 10 or 15 years since I've flown with the HARA bunch. The guys in that video have taken it to the next level with modern inexpensive onboard video.

Back when I was a kid, a friend of mine in Detroit had one of those. I thought that it was really cool and I really wanted to get one, too. The following year (1967), I discovered something that went even higher: Estes model rockets.

Well, talk about history repeating itself. Several years ago, I picked up a cheap set of those water rockets at a local drug store and started shooting them off in my back yard. One thing led to another, and before I knew it, I was a BAR!

I like the videos of real kids launching the Banzai Titan rocket:

I was only trying to get the "Fly DC Jets" sign, not a specific airline or "livery".
