'Time Piece', a 1964 film by Jim Henson.

It is worth watching in its entirety, but the important part for most of you will come after 7:30 in when you will see one of Don Sahlin's rockets (probably the one featured in G. Harry Stine's Handbook of Model Rocketry) launched.

I immediately thought about Sesame Street every time the animated sequences came up, but didn't recognize the guy in the short. As soon as I saw the credits, I could visualize Kermit saying "help". I also patted myself on the back for instantly recognizing the artistic style from my early childhood in the 60's. I then went back to the original post and noticed you said it was by Jim Henson. I need to read before I click. :o

That's not the first time I heard the name Don Sahlin.
Check out the first place photo contest winner from a 1965 MRN:

It seems he got a lot of mileage from that model.
