Has anyone ever had a successful flight of the Cosmos Mariner model? Has anyone ever heard of a successful flight of the Cosmos Mariner model? I've seen several flights on YouTube, but only (very) bad ones.

I've built two of them, but only for show.

Actually it looks like a cool kit and yes I've seen that one video where it CATO and that one guy was bashing it...it most cases I feel it's the modeler's fault if it don't fly right.

Well, this isnt exactly a Cosmos Mariner, but close enough in planform. It is actually a cross between the CM and the old Space Camel glider, which also was considered a real clunker.

This version has a 20" span with a 30" wing chord, with a cardstock based BT70 body, which has 'side panels' to blend it in with the rest of the craft. Made with 3mm Depron, this thing with pod weighs only like 7z, and has flown *very well* on a D12.

Also have smaller versions that have done quite well too....plus the 2x version of *THIS* one that will require an I284 to lift.
