Here's some additional names for CSLs:

Rice
Vincent
Fountain
Block
Randolph

Care to put first names to any of these? Two of them, maybe three, should be really easy...

Jim Rice

Faye Vincent

Yeah, I'm a baseball guy. ;)

When you hear me mention the CSL Cox, you can bet it won't be named for the Estes sideline company... :D

My 14 year old son is into Jimi Hendrix and Cream (early Clapton). He's asked me to teach him a bunch of their stuff on guitar.

That sim seems to be purple. Did you design the Purple Haze? :D

Purple Haze would have to be a great design to be deserving of that name.

Uh, that was Gene PITNEY. ;) :eek:OOPS! Wasn't Gene *Vincent's* band the Blue Caps? (Mindless trivia from Guitar Player magazine, circa 1982.) :o

This thread reminder me that my 16 year old son is now into our generations rock and roll. He was playing some Ozzy and Led the other night. Maybe I will introduce him to some early Rush."They call me the workin' man/ I *guess* that's what I am..." ;) :D

Hmnnn...

Interesting background, child prodigy, "discovered" by David Gilmour...

I may only give a single Waaahhh here. This deserves a second look, and a possible second CSL design. The first CSL Bush isn't named for her, though...

Cheers,
Considering that Rush has been in business for over 30 years now --- I mean, "Rush" came out in 1974 and "2112" was released 30 years ago, for crying out loud --- what can we consider to be "early" Rush?

2006 - 1974 = 32 years, so is anything 16 years or older "early"? That is, anything from before 1990? Where's your personal cutoff point?

Mine is probably "Grace Under Pressure" from 1984.

(Consider that in comparison, I consider "old" Kansas to be anything from their first 3 albums, the ones *before* "Leftoverture".)

Btw, I highly recommend the "R30" double DVD and CD set. Lots of interviews and really dated live videos through the years.

Hey, wait a second. I don't remember creating a thread called " Stuff really not having anything to do with Scrounged-Up Designs".
I think it's a conspiracy.
Paging Dixie Normous. Dixie Normous please pick up the courtesy phone.

"Moving Pictures" in 1981 and that's stretching it a bit.

 :D I bought my Cybird R/C ornithopter from Treasure Hunt Toys on eBay. Imagine my perverted childish delight when I found that the guy's name was Michael Hunt from the invoice. Maybe he was at your Hobby Lobby. ;)
