Airbrushes

Hey fellow model rocket builders, I noticed at my local Hobby Lobby that they had sale prices on airbrushes and compressors. If you thought about getting an airbrush, now may be the time!

I could always use another. Will have to check it out. If they have any of the high-end Badger or Paasche ones, probably will buy.

Badger 150-7 is what I had, and will again some day.
If they have one, and less than $130 with coupon, get it.

Squadron has a Master airbrush set that includes a gravity fed brush and compressor for under $100.

Not a bad price for what you get.

The compressor is worth $95 by itself.
I'd use the air brush to decorate cakes or something.
The Badger 150-7 comes with fine, medium and heavy tips and needles.
You can spray from a .5mm line to a 4" round pattern.
Extra jars and lids are readily available by the dozen.
Spray's a variety of materials including directions you can't do with an open top gravity feed.
Trigger is dual action with an internal mix at the tip...Just like the big spray guns.
Their price at $123 is very good deal while on sale.

For me Woody, it is not the brand of airbrush but the style. I prefer to use a gravity fed brush over a siphon feed. I have used both and I feel that the gravity feed is easier to spray, it uses less paint and you don't have to unscrew a cap to refill it. I have an Iwata Eclipse gravity feed double action and an OOP Testor's Aztek single action side feed.

The Master compressor that is sold by Squadron looks like it is the same compressor that is sold under a variety of names including Harbor Freight.
