#1993 Lancer (1988-1989) fin can id help

Can anyone confirm if the #1993 Lancer (1988-1989) has the older diamond airfoil fin unit like Kadet, or the later wedge airfoil one like Mongoose? I have a decal and am considering cloning it with a Skywriter.

Thanks

I believe the Lancer and nearly every kit listed in the Challenger-1 thread used the wedge fin version. The only ones I know for sure that used the diamond airfoil version are the Star Trek rocket, Challenger-1, Star Wars Proton Torpedo, and Kadet.

Thanks!

20 years ago I built

#1328 Kadet (1979-1986)
#2026 Athena (1990-1998)
#2042 America (1991-1992)
#2076 Pegasus (1994-1996)

And only when building them noticed the Kadet was different. I drag raced the four at a local launch. I was not aware of the Lancer was in the group, but happened to buy the decal from Estes. The Lancer instructions even call for painting it so it is perfect for cloning.

I also have the #1472 Scorpion (2000-2001).

Thanks again.
