Has anyone else noticed...

All the Comanche-3's coming out of the woodwork on ebay since Estes put the new one in the "Coming Soon" page?
It's still not a buyers market...yet.
I've purchased 4 in the last 2 years and never paid more than $30 + shipping.
And never paid more than $9 in shipping.
Looks like some people are trying get what they can before the release of the new one.
Couple has out of sight shipping charges, which always decides my highest bid.
NEWS FLASH:
Since the price never got out of hand on the originals, I don't think the price will drop.
I'd still pay $30 for a vintage one in a sealed bag if needed one.
These were sold in such a large numbers, there is no way they would ever go sky high in price.
Opinions welcomed.
Just something I noticed.

Well it's a risk to horde some kits because Estes will bring em back out again, usually with a different paint/decal scheme. Now there are some classic kits that I would buy from ebay but a lot can be easily cloned for a lot less $$$$.

I sold one a couple of weeks ago for $33 plus $7 shipping on ebay. I was shocked !! I know Ive been out of touch for about 5 or 6 years but that kit has been around forever. I was hoping for $15 plus shipping.... I have another on ebay now and have yet another in one of these totebins.

Awesome kit to build and look at. Actually flying it is a different story, lol. I built 2 of them. The first one burned the lower stage to about a medium well,I never did find the 2nd stage but I did recover the main rocket unharmed. The second I just admired from a nice safe shelf!!!

Here is something I noticed on EBay...

I'm a woodworker and I use mostly hand tool. Old hand tools, planes, hand saws, etc go for peanuts normally.

I also like to watch Roy Underhill on "The Woodwright Shop".

Whenever Roy shows how to use another cool old hand tool the price of those tools goes absolutely crazy on eBay.

I am a big fan of Lee Valley for all kinds of tools and neat accessories. Their Veritas line of planes is pretty cool, although I do not own any -- yet. When Lee Valley puts the planes on sale, or discount their gift cards, and then offers free shipping, people go nuts buying them.

My wood tool acquisitions over the past couple years has been Festool. Expensive, but nothing like I've ever used. I decided not to upgrade my table saw, and instead bought their track saw. Nothing like it for knocking down sheets of plywood for cabinets. My last purchase was the Domino, to replace a biscuit joiner. Again, nothing like it.

OK, I kinda got sidetracked, but we all get wrapped up in getting some particular item and occasionally look the other way when we see a high price. For me, the item I fear seeing is a Maxi Pershing on eBay. I do not think I'd have any will power!
