Making holes in Body Tubes
 

I have read a couple of post re: making round holes in body tubes. Here is a technique that is used to put holes in balsa wood for model airplanes. You need brass tubing the diameter of the hole you want in the body tube. You can buy these tubes at the hobby store. Then file or drill one end of the tube so it can cut through the body tube. Does not have to be real sharp just beveled a bit. Measure and mark where you want the hole on the body tube. Place a balsa nose block or coupler inside the body tube where the mark is. Now place the filed end of the brass tubing on the body tube. Gently apply pressure and twisting of the brass tubing until you have a nice hole. Remove the coupler or balsa and you should have a clean round hole.
