Black Hole Probe

Comrades:

Before I throw away the bag, if anyone wants to build the Black Hole Space Probe (and you know who you are . . . ), the eRocket/Semroc part number is FES-1426 for the fins. The fin set includes fins and square balsa for the external detailing. You need an 18" piece of BT-50, 12 BT-50-BT-55 rings, some 1/8 dowel and internals. JimZ has the plans. The nose is available from Estes. Get at least a 15" 'chute because by the time you seal all the wood, this thing is a serious sled.

Here's mine against this morning's blue Texas sky. Still in the primer stage, I need to add cardstock details that were originally decals and paint the thing Metallic Blue. This is part of my plan to complete a number of Mostly Done rockets that have been lying around, in some cases for years.

In retrospect, this project took impulse buy to a whole new level.

Also, I have 1 (only one) Black Hole Space Probe decal set left.

Well, that didn't take long...

I no longer have 1 Black Hole Space Probe decal left :(
