Collector Alert

Doing my usual surfing for old kits today, I come across a decent Ebay seller.
Many kits, many brands, decent price.
Check him outHERE
I plan on bidding on a few.
I will post them here.
I suggest if anyone else bids to post which one they are bidding on as well.
This will help us all by not trying outbid each other.
Maybe an arrangement can be worked out in advance.
He has Centuri, Estes, Custom, MPC, Quest, Apogee, QCR, North Coast, Glencoe & THOY, all Vintage.
It's a short 5 day auction, some have buy it now prices.

EDIT: He replied to my Email, highest shipping plus $2 each addition item on multiple items.

I will be bidding on the following;
Estes
GEO Satalitte LV
Deep Space Transport
Solar Sailor II
Hercules
Custom
Matra
Centuri
Star Trooper.
I will list any more by editing this post.

He has some decent kits but I won't be bidding as we have multiples of most of them in mint condition. My interest is solely to see what they go for in the end.

I do have a question: how does it work when you have a kit for auction AND it also has a buy it now price? Assuming there is only 1 kit once the bidding starts, is the "buy now" option automatically off the table or could someone swoop in and buy it mid auction and it's just too bad for the bidders???

Personally, I would either post my price for sale or auction it.

The Buy It Now feature is only if no one has a bid on it.

Yea - once someone bids the Buy-It-Now goes away.

He's added some more kits.

No real bargains here especially once you add in shipping.

Especially after I've had a few beers and start bidding them up to thwart folks trying to price fix auctions by posting a list of what they intend to bid on and calling dibs.

I don't know who this guy is as relates to the rocketry community but be careful dealing with him. I bought 2 kits and both have severely crushed tubes even though they were listed as mint. I've requested to return them for a refund through Ebay and he's claiming that any damage is my fault and he's not going to get stuck with them.

He says, "We have never had a return request before, though we have gladly accepted returns for a problem with an item whenever people asked." He goes on to say, "You have also provided no evidence of any damage, only your word. If you unfile the return claim, we would be more receptive, but under the current situation, you don't really come off as someone who wants to work with us, you just want us to be stuck completely, but it was not our fault. Not really interested in a back and forth, so we will just wait until ebay weighs in with what the right procedure is here. Thanks."

Here are the photos I uploaded to Ebay.
