Gold Foil Sources?
I'm finishing up a model and am looking for a good source for gold colored foil.
Any recommendations? Candy bar brands would be fine. :D |
Although I eat vey few candy bars nowadays, doesn't Twix use a gold-colored foil packaging ?
I also think Top Flite offers 4"x36"self-adhesive gold-colored trim Monokote...at least they used to I think...I know they still have chrome, not positive about gold. |
Rollo's candy is wrapped in gold foil. Lots of guy on the Paper modeling forum use Rollo candy foil for wrinkling it up and gluing it onto spacecraft to simulate MLFI.

I have used Godiva chocolate bar wrappers. Purchased from Michaels craft store. Applied to a 1/70th Lunar Lander model. Think the bars were $3 a pop, so Rollo is likely cheaper.

You might be able to find gold foil for homemade candy. I did a quick google search and found the following:
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Wilton-W1...4-Inch/25568145 There were other hits as well. Bob |
ROLLO was a character on Sanford & Son that often enjoyed "wild parsley".
ROLO is a type of candy....lol :D |

You guy's are too funny!
Go to your favorite food market store, go to the meat section, pork section, look at HAMS! Notice what they are wrapped in. Gold foil, lot's-o-gold foil. You silly billy's! this was from my Christmas dinner. Oh, btw, enjoy the ham, ham samitches, pea soup, chopped ham and pickle samitches, ect, ect, ect! |

Point taken... Perhaps I was thinking of the Viking Rollo, brother of King Ragnar Lothbrok... Later! OL J R :) |
