Rheintocher R1 Scale Data Needed
1 Attachment(s)
I would like to build one of these models for the Scale event at NARAM this year. I've got plenty of photos but I am in need of a good set of scale drawings of it. I've found a couple of drawings on line so far but they are incorrect and not very scale. I would love to see posts of line drawings of this WWII German Missile if you just happen to have a set of them. Thanks in advance

There's some information here...........
http://www.germanluftwaffe.com/arch...metterling.html and here.......... https://www.google.ca/search?q=Rhei...0&bih=616&dpr=1 Hope you can read German. |
Thanks,
Nice German site which I can't read at all but I didn't see anything usable image wise on the R1 other then the close up photos. I've done many searches online as well and found all those images before. If I was making a rocket that needed to just Look Like a the Rheintocher then I would be set but I wish to make a scale model of one and also need to present a good set of drawings along with the model for judging. I'll keep looking for a couple weeks more and then I'll move on to a different subject if I can't find what I need. John Boren |

Oops! I forgot to send you the drawings from secret weapons book! I'll get those to you tonight. As I've mentioned before no dimensions but scaled at 1/48. NASM site gives basic dimensions for their display round. My apologies for not getting those to you in a more timely manner. |
John the information I have has been sent to your private email address please let me know if you do not receive it

John,
Sent you an email . . . Dave F. |
John, I think there were some tables of dimensional data in the links I sent you. You would need to do some German/English translation work to make sense out of it.

I hope you're able to obtain data, that is one interesting looking rocket. IIRC, there is one at the Udvar Hazy center.

I took these 2 photos when I was there, just in case they're of any use.

Well, I've kind of given up on it as of today unless by some miracle good scale drawings fall into my lap. I think I'm going to do the Russian GOA missile instead. I started one several years ago but never finished it. I've got TONS of scale data on it, so I can begin the build right away. One reason for not finishing it was it's large size. It was going to be to heavy. The booster had a 4" diameter, I think I'll reduce the scale down so it's 3" in diameter. It will be much lighter at this size of a model.
There are a few images of this old build on my website. http://johnboren.com/html/goa_missile.html John Boren |
