Nova Payloader (and Guardian) are back - sort of

One of my favorite models - the Nova Payloader - is back in production as a bulk-only kit (no face card, only three languages in the instructions, new catalog number 1716). They first appeared only at AC Supply, but I see that eRockets is now handling them as well.

This version returns to waterslide decals for the markings and has a different slightly longer nose cone but it otherwise similar to the last iteration that went OOP in 2014.

The Guardian has also returned in a similar bulk kit form. I haven't purchased any of these so I don't know if it, too, has been changed to decals and that longer nose cone (the two models shared the same nose cone in the past) but I wouldn't be surprised.

AC Supply also has a bulk pack with four Guardians, four Nova Payloaders and Four Alpha IIIs. Interesting mix, that.

Just in case anyone else besides me was happy to see the Nova Payloader or the Guardian back again.....

That's good to know in case I need a spare. Mine shattered a fin on it's last flight. I always thought the Nova would make an interesting upscale.

Thanks for the update. The Nova Payloader is essentially the Estes Icarus but with a different fin set and paint job. I wanted to get one because I have the Icarus fins from Semroc and the decal from Gordy to convert the NP to an Icarus.

I used a PSII Partizon as a parts donor and did a 256% upscale Nova Payloader a few years ago. 2.5 inch clear tubing (butyrate) from US Plastics and upscaled graphics by callliegraphics.com.
