My Photobucketless project thread

Estes Astron X-Ray - Trying to improve on my 0-1 X-Ray record before it becomes a 40 year thing next fall. I didn't go full "Rocket Red" on this one, but made sure it made an appearance. Still undecided about additional decals.
Not happy about the photo orientation. Could it really have been that long since I used this feature? |

Estes MRN Loadlifter 1-A - Since this will obviously be spending flight time at B6-4 Field, I made this into a mini-engine bird. Decals are a long ago purchased BT-20 based set from Thrustline. Remember them? I still have a couple of their kits to get flying.
Again with the photo orientation? |
I like mini motors. I have a number of old Centuri 13mm B4-3s that do great with BT5-BT20 rockets.
Since I often post from my phone, and YORF doesn't like its photos, and Photobucket had kicked one, I've another workflow I've been trying. Uploading to Flickr, and then using this webtool to generate the static IMG link from the short URL Flickr gives you. Flickr BBCODE at http:\\tools.rackonly.com |

I'm a pro member at Flickr. (In name only.) I'll have to give that a try. |
X-Ray looks fantastic as is IMHO. Is the Loadlifter from the old Estes MRN plan?

<thread drift> For what its worth, even though both thumbnails have the rocket with its nose to the left, when I click on the images what comes up is this: X-ray - correct orientation. Loadlifter-1A - nose pointing to the RIGHT.
Sheesh. for the IT techies: this is on a MacBook Pro from 2010 running Safari 11.0 on macOS 10.12.6</thread drift> |

I get both nose left when I click on the pics. Sheesh is right. ;) |
Running Linux and Firefox. I get vertical on the X-Ray and to the right on Loadlifter.
At work, I get the same results on Win7 and Firefox. |
Bill,
Try a really simple edit of the photo — rotate it 90 degrees, then back. It may post correctly after that. I recall reading that a couple years ago. On an older iPhone, I’d have that happen. My newer iPhone has more resolution, and a picture right from the Photos folder won’t post due to file size. I need to edit it to reduce size. I try to remember to shoot the picture with extra space around the subject, then crop in the Photos folder, then post. But it can be hit or miss on whether reduction is enough. |

Kopter XK-1, or at least my interpretation of it.
