Who had the best exotics? Estes or Centuri?
I have my opinion. What do you guys think and why? Which models would tip you one way or the other? :)

No way to make that call. On the Estes side you have the Andromeda, Mars Lander and Interceptor, etc. On the Centuri side you have the ESS Raven, USS America and Orion, etc. etc. wins in my book. ;)

I agree w/ AFNW, its a pretty close toss up, both companies had some awesome kits. Gunner |
Yeah, tough call on that one. I might have to concede a slight edge to Estes on the whole, but I largely felt that Centuri had the more 'unique' designs and some unique uses and implementations of materials in their kits.
The quality of materials in the Centuri scale kits was unmatched. Earl |

I didn't like their use of cardboard fins, so I semi-disagree here. |

I agree with the dislike of fiber-board fins in some Centuri kits, but everything else was first-rate. |
Ditto what TB and Scott have commented.
I liked the designs of all of them; just the execution missed on a few. Not enough to keep me from building and/or loving them, though! Allen |
Jay chimes in...
Chris,
I agree with Bill, Gunner, Earl, and Allen, and semi-agree with Scott. ;) :D Cheers, . |
I have a pair of Vulcans right now and really dig them. But, as much as I love them, the Andromeda hands down trumps any exotic ever made in my humble opinion. I have most of the parts to start cloning one.

There is but one advantage of those fins. Customizing kits like the Vector-V where we had a choice of how we put them on. Bill |
