N-1 Kit Altaira Rocketry
I just saw this N-1 kit listed on ebay from Altaira Rocketry. Does anyone have more details on this company and kit?

6 x D12-3 makes it a High Power Rocket, not a "Mid Power Rocket". 126.6 grams of propellant is more than 125 grams, which is the NFPA 1122 limit for a Model Rocket.
The display card is risking lots of fees imposed by eBay for sales outside of eBay (it provides an e-mail address for direct sales). |
A bit confusing. Parts of the post indicate it won't ship until 12/5
But it also indicates I'll get it by 10/16.... Update 10/7 I submitted a question and the seller responded. First delivery is 12/5. He indicated he had 50 kits in the first production run and plans additional runs in the future |
Seller answered questions i had, and posted answers on the buy-it-now eBay page. Believe more photos have been added to the eBay page since initial posting as well. Others on rocketry forum indicate the guy is on the up and up. I'm convinced seller is for real.

Just a follow-up to this thread. Apogee is now selling this kit for $148.88.

And the eBay seller from the original link has gone up $20 to $148 as well. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Soviet-N1-...AAOSwO7haPsd i |
Looking over what I've seen of this kit so far, I've decided to convert the Currel paper model. 1/144 scale (1/100 if you have a large enough printer). Looks like only a bit more work and considerably cheaper.
