Free Stomp Rocket PDF File Download

5 Attachment(s)
Attached are some PDF Files you can save to your computer and print at home. Simple Stomp Rocket model and instructions for making the launcher.

PVC Launcher PDF shows instructions for the launcher (Cheap-Less than $6 for parts and 5-minutes to make).

Experimenter Rocket Instructions show generic instructions to make the rockets, please note that the rocket I'm attaching for free is a single sheet, and not one of the longer rockets shown in the instructions.

Altitude Rocket 3 is the free stomp rocket file. It is very colorful so you can see it once it leaves the launcher.

The Technique PDF shows the way and tools I use to make these.

The Photo is of several rockets, the Altitude 3 Rocket is the third rocket from the left of the X-15 Delta wing one (1st one of the common length rockets). The longer two rockets are part of the Altitude test set.

Will Do another thread showing different styles of stomp rockets I've made.

Hope this all works for downloading!

Merry Christmas!

Photos of a Few of My Stomp Rockets

5 Attachment(s)
Here are a few photos of different types of stomp rockets I've designed through the years. Started doing these in April of 2010.

In 2012 thru 2013 redrew many of the USA Manned space models to be more scale like. Plan to someday list these for sale online as downloads, and sale the bigger 1/12 scale models as printed sheets ready to cut out and build.

To get these cardstock rockets to max altitude by using the simple stomp launcher means no external parts are added, no escape towers etc... Graphics are used to show where the misc. parts would go.

A final note:
In Nov. of 2002 started to draw Paper Airplanes made from cardstock, the F104/other wing models are downsized from these models and adapted to the stomp system.

My next post I'll upload a free version of one of the free flight glider airplane models if I can get everything down-sized to fit the max file size.

Best regards,
Mike Bauer

Free SR71 Free Flight Glider PDF

3 Attachment(s)
The attached PDF file has the SR71 Habu model that is a free flight glider model. Once made it is around 28 inches long, it is not to scale due to flight issues.

Next post will include the instructions.

Make this one out of 65# through 110# cardstock (Vellum Bristol 65-67# or Index 90 to 100# works best if you can find it).

Cover 65# is almost as heavy as Index 110# so be carefull when looking for the better choices for cardstock mentioned above.

A couple of photos to show it flying. Climbing right turn model is an early version while the SR71 Habu is a 4 ft long version of the 28 inch model PDF file you can download and save!

Largest flown as a free flight is 6.5 ft long! A 4 ft 7 inch model was created for R/C flying using EDF and electrics...

Next post will include 5-part instructions PDF's.

Merry Christmas!

Mike has some great designs here, I built and flew several. I have the SR 71 but haven't built it yet, it's going to eat up a lot of black ink. They actually fly great.

I took one of his designs, (the 50's Sci-Fi rocket) and converted it for engine perpulsion. I fly it on C-6-3's and she flies like a raped ape, it has a peculiar little S jog about 150' up. Super tough. I had several on TOF tell me, "it'll never get off the pad on a C engine, so I stuffed an A-8 in it for the first flight, it almost didn't have enough hight for the chute to open....almost.
