Estes Pro Series wish list?
I figure someone would start one of these threads eventually.
What big models would you like Estes to produce? I think a der Big Red Max is a dead-obvious choice. (Essentially, the Leviathon with different fins and decals.) A retro spaceship model would be nice, as would a more modern sci-fi model. |

The Q-Modeling kits do not use thicker-walled upgraded tubes, which I consider to be a MUST for true MPR and above.
I would like to see tha following former "Maxi-Brutes" produced in the same size as original but upgraded with heavy wall tubing, ply/bass fins, heavy motor tubes, and heavy-duty recovery systems: Saturn 1B, Saturn V, Pershing 1A, Maxi-Alpha (not 3 with the plastic fins), Colossus (with WOOD fins), and a new Pershing II and Mercury Redstone of the same size. 38mm motor mounts in the kits, with 29mm adapters included. Realistic pricing of no higher than $60 for all but the Saturns, $100 for the Saturns. Realistically priced upscales of the Astron SkyDart and Citation Patriot would be nice too. |
Up-rated Bluebird-Zero. I always thought that was a beautiful rocket (my 13mm version is a hoot-an-a-half).

Along with the Maxi Red Max:
IRIS (2.6" OD) Merc Redstone (2.6" OD) HoJo (2.6" OD) V2 (either 4" or 6" OD) Nike Herc (? OD) I would start with those. That's all for now. Greg |
1. Upscale BBZ (BT-70-ish and 29mm MMT)
2. Interceptor G (There's one hanging from the ceiling in my LHS and it's driving me crazy.) 3. Upscale Goblin (3" diameter and 29mm would be nice.) |
1. Upscale LJ (Mercury)
2. Upscale LJII |
Upscale versions of;
Citation Patriot Bandit Blue Bird Zero Star Blazer |
An upscale LTV Scout, of course!
|
A maxi EAC Viper
