Was this from a kit

Or is it a home built ? I remember a rocket from the 90's that had similar antennas ( I think that is what they are)

The rocket takes a mini motor and looks like it would not be stable with such small fins. If anyone knows anything about this or if there is a prototype please share, I am at a loss on this one.

Thank you

Looks like the Estes Design of the Month Space Twins core. Two gliders would hook on those dowels.

That is it, now it makes sense. Thank you so much - The "booster" is really built well. I will have to make the gliders for it someday.

You're welcome. I have one and that's why I recognized it right away. I lost one of the gliders though and need to build a new one.

I had bought a "lot" of built rockets mainly to get the Centuri SST Shuttle . I contacted the seller and complimented him on the exceptional workmanship on all the rockets. He told me did not build them that he bought a big box at Goodwill, gave the gliders to his nephew and sold the rest. All I ever see at second hand stores is old clothes - nothing good.

I've got the Space Twins plans, plus a bunch of others I received directly from Estes when I was a kid. I never built that one, but it would be fun.
Regarding Goodwill, pretty true regarding good finds. But I buy old pants for a couple bucks to wear while working in the shop. Glue, wood stains, varnish? No worries! Throw them away when they get really bad. I'm sure my wife appreciates that I change out of them when we leave the house and go out in public. :)

I've found some starter sets, and simple Estes models, at Goodwill. Very often unopened!

I generally buy them, and put them in my "give away" box.

The Space Twins is a great model. I finished the little gliders with dope (one blue, one orange) and fly them a lot at demonstrations.

I rebuilt the booster after a crack-up. I lengthened it by 6" or so, for stability.

I upscaled them years ago. https://www.rocketreviews.com/scrat...chelberger.html I need to build another glider, but I used a matched pair of Apogee nose cones on the first one and haven't thought to order another nose cone assortment from them.

Here is a BT-55 upscale I called Space Twins 2000. Flew great on D12-3's. Eventually painted it red white and blue. I lost the blue glider a few years ago and need to finish up the replacement.

That is really nice work!
