I am so frustrated!

I have to vent!

My life has been a confusing and busy mess for the last two months.

Family issues, friend issues, health issues (other people) and I have my own health issues coming up.

Sorry, I don't want to give details.

On top of everything else I'm having computer issues.

Mainly my email but I also have issues with Adobe. What a mess.

These issues have made it very difficult to respond to custom order requests.

I'm very close to giving up this hobby and business of doing custom work and decals.

I'm getting very frustrated with quotes requests for obscure decals that I cannot sell but customers want me to offer them.

I'm trying to accommodate people but it amounts to "no good deed goes unpunished".

Sorry guys, it's very frustrating I just needed to vent.

Get a Mac. Rekindle older long term friendships. Encourage folks to bother you less with orders in categories that are hard to fill. Done. Been there, but didn't post it. :D

An Alps printer will only work in windows XP or lower! It will NOT work on a mac.

Hang in there, Gordy!
Remember that it's O.K. to say NO sometimes ;)

I hadn't realized how obsolete ALPS MicroDry technology is. And yet there seemingly is nothing available to replace it.

XP is pretty much the only version of Windblows endorsed by Apple and runs in BootCamp or Parallels or a couple others. Older Windblows runs in Parallels as well. Heck, even OS/2 and DOS!

I feel your pain.

Not seemingly...

Absolutely nothing even close for less than $30,000 and that's just close. Not even there yet.

When I look at all the decals that you do offer,... I feel we are so lucky to have you in this hobby with us. One of my favorite things is to build a clone of an old long ago model that excited me as a kid, and knowing I can build it today and still get new fresh decals for my build from you. Maybe on some custom decals you get requested for, you just have to say no. And by saying no, you are saving all the good stuff we all so dearly love. Thanks for all that you do for this hobby!

Hang in there man. My clones of older models would positively suck if it weren't for you.

It's OK to vent for sure.

I hope everything or at least most things, get better for you soon.

We love ya!

David

Unless something has changed Microsoft will be dropping support for XP sometime in 2014. We have the same problem our laser cutter has no driver files after XP. So we will have to continue to run it after the fact.

Luckily that computer doesn't need any internet access, it just runs the laser.
