Or where, oh where.......
Anybody have any ideas on where I can find an Estes Galactic Pirates Pirate ship? I have the "good guys" ship, the Excalibur, which I am in the process of building now, and I would like the other ship. I used to have the pirate ship, but after 21 years in the Navy and MORE than one move.... it has "flown the coop" so to speak. Soooooo, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, and by the way, anyone who wants scans of the Excalibur's decal sheet, instructions and templates, give me a yell, I'd love to share the wealth :) Take care, be safe, and keep 'em flyin' Gunner |
I tried to get one off Ebay but they just got too expensive for building. I cloned it from JimZ's site. Now I have both these kits in flying condition.

Thanks for the info Thumper :)

There is a company that is cloning them but some on this site have issues with him using copyrighted artwork in his drawings and etc.
I'm not going to provide the site due to the fact of all the bickering back and forth on this site it will create. Suffice it to say if you research, you can find a kit for under $25. |
At the risk of something, here it is:
http://www.morerockets.com/ Look under their clones. They actually have nice reproductions. I have several of their kits including the one to which you refer, and they are great. I think he stepped on some toes about using original artwork without permission. Not my battle. Allen |
Someone here did a really cool third entry to the Galactic Pirates / Excalibur line, a sleek white ship for a lady space knight. The "Lady Guenivere" or something like that.
It would be fun to build all three. |

That was me. :D I have to get back on that thing. I have to build another one...believe it or not somebody persistently nagged me on it until I finally agreed to sell it to him. Now I have to build another one. BTW, it does fly great! |
Gordy, Your third addition to the "galactic pirates" fleet looks great.
Never liked the other two (which were the only Estes kits to ever use the BT-3 other than the 1/70 Apollo Capsule in the S1B kit), but yours ROCKS !!! |

Now I wish I hadn't sold it. :o Let me see if I can build a new "prototype" tonight. |

Very cool! It looks awesome, I take it, it was based off the Excalibur? I want to get a few builds under my belt, but it would be a neat build to try. |
