Default Rocketry in the '50's. S.O.A.R. R.E.A.C. B.T.C. ???

I'll try asking here first. In 1960 and 1961 a group called S.O.A.R. (Society Of Applied Rocketry) built 6 rockets to launch and recover revenue generating mail covers. 4 of the flights were completely successful and those covers are widely available on eBay. I have been researching the rockets they used but I am finding precious little information or photographs. I live in Maine and the flights occurred relatively close to where I now live. I did find that S.O.A.R. was formed by a few stamp collectors and a student rocket group called R.E.A.C. (Reaction Engines And Controls) from Brooklyn Technical College of NY, around 1957. But I have found NO information on R.E.A.C. (Not Reaction Engines of X-15 fame) or even of Brooklyn Technical College. I have also NO information on the ultimate fate of S.O.A.R. Several of local libraries and historical societies have supplied some S.O.A.R. information but little else. So I ask my fellow rocket nerds, has anyone heard of S.O.A.R., R.E.A.C., or even of Brooklyn Technical College?
