I almost got killed in the Mercury version of this car in 1981. The girl I rode to school with was pulling out of our street and the car stalled just as we pulled into the northbound lane. I was sitting behind her and looked to the left to see a big Caddy crest the hill doing a good ten over the 35 mph limit. He went into a full four wheel lock and just as I thought I was dead, Kath got the car started. The marks on US 27 were there until they repaved it years later.
