but the kit is not made of gold, nor is it edible. If the end times are coming , I'd rather have almost anything rather than an old. probaly unbuildable (due to age of parts) rocket kit. If the end times aren't coming, then the dollar will recover aqnd you will probably not see anywhere near the "value" of your investment for decades.

Sorry, but rocket kits are not a good investment holding strategy no matter how much I like the hobby.
