Yeah, yeah, yeah....
Well, I DO have a 4 and a 5 stage design in my note book...  . Both have flown just fine (and I have a Box full of boosters to prove it LOL) however I can't see putting either of them into production for several reasons:
Very expensive (lots of balsa wood...)
Reliability issues to contend with
Cost of a launch (lots of motors...)
Cost of replacing the model after nearly every flight after loosing sight of it after boost ... Lol
I am not aware of any problem launching such a rocket at a NAR sanctioned launch, or under the terms of the NAR insurance, as there isn't a violation to the safety code. You couldn't use it in competition, but that's a different issue all together... |
