As I recall they were in the throes of getting out from under the Tunick administration and being sold to Hobbico about then. I suspect there was no money.

True....but a shiny Alpha III derivative (that, to my eye, is MUCH prettier than an Alpha IV) is not that bad.....as can be seen in the picture posted above......even if it comes in sideways for some (no, I don't know why).
