Okay, here's what you need to do.

Go to Apogee's website and download Issues 113 and 117 of their "Peak of Flight" Newsletters:

In issue 113, Bruce S. "teflonrocketry1" Levison shows how to do "fins on fins" in RockSim 7. (It doesn't look like it does in RockSim 9, but Bruce says that this helps RS7 sim them accurately.) Pay special attention to his mention of a "fin mount," which figures prominently in his next article.


In "Peak of Flight" #117, Bruce unveils his "how to do sidepods in RockSim 7" technique. As he's laying a foundation for that, he explains the "secret ingredients" for simming Ring and Tube fins.

He mentions specific files in that article, and I've attached that .ZIP file to this post.


So take a look at these, and we'll resume class later in the week. (In other words, I have to figure out what the heck I'm trying to teach here. )
