Wonder if it had anything to do with name trademark issues, possibly?
BTW, for about the first time I've ever seen, one of these Centuri kits is listed on ebay tonight. It's a 'roll pattern' package design, which would date it to the late 60s to very early 70s. This one has a balsa cone, so for Centuri that would put it approximately before summer 1970.
