Now for some technique:

Once the slit tube is over the ventral fin, the ventral fin will be rather difficult to sand, seal, finish, and paint. Therefore, I'll paper the exposed portions of the ventral fin with pieces of cardstock and Elmer's white. After the glue dries and I slit the excess paper from the balsa, I then brush Elmer's into the exposed balsa endgrain at each end of the ventral fin. After that glue dries I then sand the ends. It should look perfect when it's painted. I then mount the (2) 1/8" launch lugs.

I then apply epoxy fillets to the wings (top only), rudder, strake, and ventral fin.

....and that's all for a while. I'm headed to Havelock, NC for at least (2) weeks.

Time for a Scotch! Good night.
