New Design - Rocket 874
Hitting the bottom of the barrel for names here...
A sport-something design, it's not exactly meant for payloads. The drag of all the external surfaces bleeds off the performance almost completely. The Dv numbers are somewhat high with 18mm engines.
Length: 24.28"
Diameter: 1.64" (ST-16)
Fin Span: 4.14"
Weight: 1.79 oz
A8-3......132'......Dv 21 FPS......Not recommended for 36" rods. Requires 33".
B4-4......315'......Dv 20 FPS......Requires 25".
B6-4......320'......Dv 16 FPS......Requires 28".
C6-5......685'......Dv 23 FPS......Requires 28".
Some additional notes: - The long fin thingies should be cut as separate pieces instead of single long strips.
- Use black striping tape between the fin thingies to replace the balsa.
- A 16" parachute is called out. Don't use anything smaller!
- The main fins are 1/16" balsa, with paper skins. Don't use thicker balsa. The Dv numbers go too high.
