The hobby shops around me never carried any sort of fuse.
We had to go to the local gun shop to get "Cannon Fuse".

When in the 8th grade my hometown school always had a rocketry segment where you teamed up with a partner and built/launched a rocket.
My buddy and I showed the teacher how reliable fuses were compared to igniters.
He switched to fuses for the next TWENTY YEARS before retiring.
When in doubt, WHACK the GAS and NEVER touch the brake !!!
