PML Thrusters
Well, not exactly from the Golden Age, but still history - I came across a PML thruster recently, a G80-4. Thrusters were re-labelled aerotech 29mm single use motors, though came with genuine 2 lead igniters. They were apparently sold during my hiatus. How long did PML sell these? Anyone here use them? I wonder if they lasted any longer than Estes attempt at selling re-labelled AP motors?

I vaguely remember these from the PML catalog, but that's about it.
Is the igniter a piece of thermalite and lead wires? I recall that was the standard until "Copperheads" came out.

They lasted a couple years longer but for different reasons. Estes effectively had a falling out with its motor partners and destroyed the tooling for a tax benefit.
PML couldn't sell enough as planned so the contracted number of motors lasted thru several sales and eventually were bulk sold at the end. Jerry |
