Jerry, I think questions one and three here cover your question: http://www.nar.org/site/nsl2017/faq/

If you come, I'd love to meet you in person.

You only need a NAR (or Tripoli) membership to fly high power. For low and mid power, membership in the NAR is not required to fly at NSL. If you're coming to the launch itself just as a spectator, you don't need to pay the range fee, and you can still sign up for the tours.

(If you change you mind after you get here and want to fly after all, we will have walk up registration for the launch).

That's great news. See you all there. Heck I might even bring a model rocket. Over a pound of course.

Lee, I really enjoyed meeting you at NSL 2017. Your upscale Orbital Transport was AWESOME! Flying my original size OT with your upscale was great fun. My glider flew better.

The feeling is mutual! Thanks again for your support, and of course, new found friendship. NSL was almost like a big reunion -- met a lot of really nice folks.

I did not see your glider, (too nervous wondering if I'd have a safe flight!) but I'd be surprised if it did not glide better. 😀 The only thing positive is that mine did not dive into the ground. My initial balance point seemed close to the location of the balance point on my little OT glider, which glides beautifully. I'll add nose weight before I fly it again.

Just to update I had to do a paid test on those dates. I am looking forward to a NARCON or a NSL in the future.
