welcome to the forum
Have a look at this thread... Pershing Fins Check out post #4. Our very own Sandman has a kit available, but is also very generous when it comes to sharing his drawings. Good luck. BTW, he does a mighty fine job at turning balsa, so there is always that option for the nose should you get stuck. |

Jeff that thread posed by foose is a good beginning.
I'll try to find the time during the holidays to make up some fins and post pictures.

Jeff, Gordon is your man (your Sandman ) for a Pershing NC and fins. You will not be disappointed!. I have his 18mm version built and finished, and it is a beauty. Be happy to post pics if you want them. Allen |

Agreed 100%. Gordon was very kind in turning a wooden LES w/skirt (1/100 scale) for my K-36 Estes Saturn - V build (I'd lost the plastic one somewhere over the years). Did a fantastic job, too. Once I get it (the K-36 Saturn - V) flown at least once, I plan to write an EMRR OOP product review and give him credit. I think I may have a few pics of that LES in my stash; maybe I'll post below: Note: The radiator panel around the SM is too long. I'm going to correct the size of them before I get around to flying this model.

Thanks for the advice foose, Dave and Allan. Sounds like Sandman is the man indeed!
I have contacted Sandman and he will be making the mose cone for me after the holidays. With winter arriving here in Virginia, looks like a good project to take on! I have the 101 body tubes in hand as well as the BT 50 and 3 24mm motor mounts. If anyone has built one of these, any Tips or trade secrets are more than welcome! Thanks for the scale drawing as well Sandman! |
