(mock frown) Hey! Aren't you that guy from Boise who just recently switched states? 'Cause your name is *vaguely* familar.

(Sorry, I got no cardstock Red Max for ya.)

The offer for free RockSim files/data for Tau Zero upscaling is still good. In case you still want it/them.

Good to see you here!

I don't have a full scale one, but I do have a BT-50 sized one that I created long before the Mini Red Max came out. Give me a few days and I'll see what I can do (it's in Adobe Illustrator, so I just have to enlarge the graphics and do a new layout so everything fits on single pages).

Why yes, that would be me

I still do want to do a tau zero upscale! but it'll have to wait a while, we've got a few projects going on right now. one is my 5.5" tribute to Frank Kosdon called "velocity ulimited" and another is one that I can't release the details for just yet (all fiberglass, 12 feet tall) and my 5.5 inch polecat NIKE smoke.

I would, however, like to do a 3" TZ.

Getting a nosecone may be a challenge

Greg! Sounds awesome! thanks!

I was actually intending to find one that is about the size of the mini, so this is perfect!

Greg has a BT-5 based one that he didn't mention. Click for PDF
I used a Semroc BNC-5AX and slightly modded the tip instead of the Quark cone.

True - but that is actually a wrap intended to be printed out and glued around an Estes BT-5. For best results, it should be printed on 32# semi-gloss presentation paper.

I've been working insane hours, but I am still working on the paper Red Max. I will eventually add the CNCE41AH to my Project Paper thread on TRF as will as the fin set and body tube. I am also fixing the files for the BT-50 sized version that I had already created - the nose cone was an older design that didn't have a shoulder or glue tabs (at that time, I freehanded the glue tabs and I was using 1/2" foam core for the shoulder, which didn't work that well. As soon as I get each version done, I'll let you know. I'm going into the hospital Wednesday for shoulder surgery, but I'll try to get as much done before I go in as I can. If not, I will certainly have plenty of recovery time to work on these projects (I'll likely be off work for a couple weeks, and the doctor says I will be able to use the computer even with the arm in a sling.) Stay tuned!

OK - I got the 24mm version finished this evening and it is added to the Project Paper thread on TRF. A word of warning, however - it has no graphics. At this point I'm leaving the graphics off the parts out of respect for copyrighted or trademarked designs and names. Sorry, but for now that is the rules I'm running under (especially since both Der Red Max and Der Mini Max are both currently available from The Big E).
